Health Initiatives
- Hospital Power Supply Initiative: Advocated a dedicated ₦300 billion federal allocation (2025 budget) to stabilize electricity in teaching hospitals and universities. As Committee Chair, Bichi fast-tracked this provision; it funds solar hybrids across the country.
- Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH) Solar: AKTH alone will receive ~6–7 MW solar under this scheme.

Renewed Hope Solarization Project at AKTH:
The 7 MW solar project at AKTH ensures no blackouts. This project will provide uninterrupted power for AKTH (ongoing).
- The hospital’s CMD noted the project will greatly improve service delivery and save lives.
- AKTH Facility Upgrades: Funding secured for critical care units: ₦26 billion in 2025 was earmarked for new A&E, stroke, radiology, and other specialized units at AKTH (projects under construction). These health-infrastructure projects are ongoing and unprecedented in scope.
